On April 9th 2001, we lost our long, hard battle to save a very special doe. Milky was just 3 years old this year and coming on stonger than ever, she had finished her Championship as a 2 year old, becoming our first homebred Champion. Milky had never placed below 1st in her class, her entire show career. After her first milk test she was projected to easily become a Top 10 milker in the Grade LaMancha catagory. Milky was very special in many ways, as she is the granddaughter of our very first LaMancha type doe. She was a heavy milker with a beautiful well attached mammary.. She will be greatly missed, but will live on in our herd through her beautiful daughter, Forrest Pride Milky's Legacy who started out her young show career taking Grand Champion Jr doe at the District 5 LaMancha Specality as a first generation American LaMancha. Two of Milky's half sisters, (daughters of Trixter) also remain in the herd.
